Anyone know what this was used for? I have been told what it is supposed to be, but can anyone confirm or even hazard a guess as to what it is?

No prizes given BTW

Possibly a page turner?

It does look like the sort of "gift" a gun dealer might get from the Kynock rep, that's my tuppence worth.

I'd also go with the "gundealer trinket for the customer scenario". However I'd call it a shoehorn.

Think I found it

The link provides food for thought Robert, this is what i was told about it.....

"The person who gave me the mystery object told me that it is from the Kynoch factory and was used in the days when cartridges were packed in paper. The tool was drawn along the fold lines of the paper to give a clean sharp edge/line to the fold. If the edges of the tool are viewed you can see where the constant use against the paper has reduced the thickness of the object. "

Sounds interesting

Joe,
"... If the edges of the tool are viewed you can see where the constant use against the paper has reduced the thickness of the object..."
I don't want to be a wet blanket, but, if the piece had enough wear to reduce it's size in parts, wouldn't you expect the printed logo to be a little less crisp?
