WILL AN AUSTRALIAN SMLE STOCK FIT A BRITISH SMLE RIFLE?
Yes; all SMLEs, including 7.62mm 2A1s, are dimensionally identical.
Any replacement forend may require fitting, especially if it is new. A 1940s vintage Australian forend should have two small copper blocks fitted to the recoil bearing surfaces.
