Le Page close ups.

I am trying to get some close up shots of a La Page made by David Pedersoli and decided that I would post them here as an on-going project so that anyone who is interested can comment.
This is the lock cavity in the furniture.

Not a flinter though and made by Armi Sport. The grip is different and the metal is silver plated.
Looks a bit more like a Mang Niner

Here are another 3 images taken tonight.First one is a bit too bleached out. I need to sort out a way of tilting pieces without showing the supports. BlueTak perhaps!!

I think I need to sort out a better background but I am fairly happy with these results as a first attempt.

Exactly!
The original does need to be the best you can do, computers can only work with what they are given, just like democracy shite in =s hite out. However using a digital process can help you identify where you can improve and here I would suggest that getting your depth of field right is the first step.
The hammer and the flint are the sharpest in focus but if you look at the lock spring it is out of focus, the computer enhancement shows that clearly, get that right and you can then work on your saturation, lighting and composition.
