This company
http://www.kalinkaoptics.com are offering a Russian made PU Scope and Mounting Set for $249.97.
I have e.mailed and asked them if they can tell me if I can get the product in Europe (cos it's Russian) but they say they can't help. They can sell me one though and ship it here. Quelle coïncidence!
Can anyone tell me if they know of a European source for this scope?

If your rifle does not have a high wall receiver, you will have problems mounting a PU mount.
Anyway, I shoot tighter groups with open sights than with the PU on my all original 1944 PU Sniper anyway.
If you want to spoe your M91/30 get one of Darrells scout mounts and a good pistol scope, no damage to the gun, much lower mounting position, hence better groups!

I have a Darrel mount and pistol scope on mine it shoots really well and its a lot cheapr option.
It can be returned to origianal setup in about 20 minutes with no damage to the rifle.

I've met Darrell on a few occaisions. And I've seen his mounts. They are rock solid once in place and they can be removed and the rear sight leaf put back in place without doing any unalterable changes to the rifle if you want to do this later.

Having contacted Darrell Harrison, he says that the next batch of mounts will not be available till August or September at $80 for pre-order or $90 after the batch is completed.
Think I will stick with open sights for a while!!!
