Here We Go Again - Vibrator Recall

My late Father was a Postman, working at the "South West London District Office" as a sorter.
One day, in the 1970s, during one of the IRA postal bombing campaigns the fire alarm sounded and the building was evacuated. As the staff assembled the story came out that a suspicious package had been detected in one of the parcel bays.
The Army Bomb Disposal crew turned up and the Explosives Officer entered suitably 'armoured'. Some time later he came out laughing. It seems that, he had determined that the package had contained a giant vibrator, posted with the batteries fitted - it appeared to have become switched on in transport.
