Fired cci blazer tmj and barnaul hp over my chrono today
My shooting buddy was nice enough to stop by with his
bulgarian Mak to comparison shoot (since I was providing the ammo) What I set out to discover is does the polygonal rifling in the cz actually translate to any velocity gain and how much.
taking turns shooting 10 shot strings out of both the bulgy and my cz.
95 gr barnaul
bulgy Mak averaged 1015 fps
Cz-82 averaged 1034 fps
CCI 95 gr TMJ
Bulgy Mak averaged 952 fps
CZ-82 averaged 975 fps
Conclusion the cz does have a velocity gain over the conventional rifled mak. on the average of 20 fps
Both pistols had high and low shells the cz was however consistently higher in velocity than the mak.
And I beat my buddy soundly on the dueling post to top off the morning. Dang this little pistol is accurate
