Milsurp After Hours

Had the time to visit our 100m range today to try out the T53 with different ammo.

Sadly the weather was somewaht rainy, so no Chronometer was set up.

I shot some of my handloads, copy of finn D-cartridge and S-cartrige and two reduces loads plus SU Match EXTRA.

Like a shooting buddy from Vienna alread told me, the carbines like the S cartridge alot:

Using a 6 o'clock holt I had to set the rearsight to 300m to hit the target.

I used the S&B 150grn spitzer .311" and 48grn of N140 for that load.

The SU Match EXTRA shoots also real good, but very low.

I normaly put up two targets one above the other.

I aimed the the top one and hit the lower one 7" above the x-Ring.

So I had to set the rearsight to 500m:

I had some reduced loads left, 9 shots loaded with Lapua S405 bullets to a muzzle velocity ot the 7,62x39.

Shoots low, had to set the sight at 300m:

The D cartridge did perform as well as the SU Match but had lower kick factor.

30 grn of N110 behind the S&B spitzer did also work good, tryed with folded and extended Bayo:

There is a way to shoot your T53!

Just look for a shooting club on the german side of the border

Can't do that Chris.

You are not allowed to shoot with weapons that are on a Dutch collectors license.

It's the way it is over here.

Dutch laws do not apply in Germanistan

Just bring them over to show them to some collector fellows, if you know, what I am saying

No can do this.

This would cost me my license.

Getting the license took a lot of time and energy.

Besides that I needed and received the help of some good friends to get it.

I can only transport the rifles on my collector's license when I have a written invitation or permission from the Dutch Firearms Collectors Association.

The invitation or permission will be my transport permission.

Seems like the dutch laws are realy strickt

Yes, our rules are strict, but I keep saying this:

If you stick to our rules, much can be done.
It just takes more time and paperwork.

If I want to shoot, I just take one of the rifles from my shooters license and go to the range.

Maybe we could meet sometime at one of Germany's ranges or maybe during one of the gun shows .

Time will tell.
