Think we need another one with some changed rules to maybe encourage more to take part.
Let's discuss this a bit first.
Here are a few off the top of my head ideas.
Targets will be whatever you have. Measure line distance from center of target to each hit. That way no excuse for not having the right target.
Scores should be held secret by shooting contest leader until the end of the contest. That way nobody gives up because somebody has posted a higher score. More likely that someone will enter not knowing what score they have to beat.
Prizes should be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. This will also encourage people to enter.
Let's have some suggestions.

1.AGREE
2.AGREE
3.AGREE
Is this individuals or teams?
We should encourage the use of hand guns as well as rifles.
Is there any merit in having a 3 target average or 3 target total to be posted within a set time instead of just one target?

I could fancy a .22 comp.
Range 25yds.
Posistion, prone, or if you are a crock, from a bench (elbows rested only).
Targets, any of the readily available targets downloadable from the nettie.
Total rounds, lets say 10 for a round figure.
1st 2nd 3rd posistions.
Send scores in to a scorer for posting.
I think most folks have access to a .22 rifle and a 25yd range, it may encourage a few more participants.
Anyone else fancy it?
Just my twopennorth`s worth,
Joe

Good idea it'll give me a reason to shoot some of your .22s Joe.

Are we still restricted to Milsurp or would it be any .22? Also, I think 50 yards/meters is a better test. Still, you know me by now, I go with the flow - mostly!

Why not run it alongside a fullbore one.
Handguns are out they are illegal in the UK.

Duncan, most of us have easy access to 25yd ranges, be it outdoor or indoor. I just thought it would entice a few more chaps / chapesses to give the comp a try.
Dave, do you mean shoot a fullbore rifle comp at 25yd? If so maybe we could organise something in the standing posistion perhaps with a time limit to make it more difficult.

100 meter, 25 meter, .22LR or not.....count me in.
I'm with Duncan here and will go with the flow..................................most of the time.
I do like Joe's idea about the .22 competition.
I think it will encourage more people to participate.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin
