Joe,
after considering a multitude of replies I've settled on a succinct and heartfelt - bastard
Seriously though still looks as desirable as ever.
As for my own search after months of nothing 3 turned up at once. Timing was impeccable as always, I had just spent a large amount of cash adding to the wifes jewellery (greasing the wheels for future firearms purchases) and so had no cash.
Two are sold and the third remains unsold due, I think, to it's pricing.
However all is not lost. I'm looking at 3 Martini Cadets for much more reasonable prices. One by Greener, the second a BSA (the adjustable sight model) and the third a mate down south has heard about and is chasing up the details.
The Greener is marked to the Tasmanian CMF and is described as good condition, the BSA I'm waiting on details of markings and is described as very good condition. The BSA is also a fair bit cheaper.
So any opinions on which I should go for ?
I lean towards the Greener as the rarer (slightly) of the two. I'm also considering the getting BSA if it's still available after I've got the Greener and if I can organise the cash. All this is dependent on the third not being attractive, so it could change.

If that's yours Ian you can go and sit on the heartless bastards stool in the corner next to Joe.
Is it original calibre or .303 ?
There is one over here in 45-577 described as "good for age" for 530GBP/$1250/1050USD.
Poor old W!

Alas it is only a .303, I suppose I'll have to make do with it

. Original calibre Martinis are making crazy money here!!!!
Stan
Yep it is much the same as your rifle, only yours looks to be in a lot better shape. The good thing about mine is that the bore is in really good shape, I doubt that it has been fired much. Hows yours?
well dang

Just to be a real Bastard,
I remember when, as the old bastards used to say in my youth, an original M-H rifle was a pound, in really good condition and carbines were a bit more. The late Les Crisp and I used to go hunting with them and we had original military ammo, foil cases wrapped in brown paper, little packets tied with string.
Ahh! Those were the days.
