Got this today from an internet auction.

Here's the left side.

The magazine, numbered on the spine.

The unmarked boltface.

The butt---all the furniture is in this condition.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL165/11 ... 353985.jpg[/pic]

Flash eliminator, showing minor finish damage.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL165/11 ... 354273.jpg[/pic]

The laser-etched import mark, located under the handguard. It's possible application of this mark caused the finish damage at the muzzle. Some kind of clamp?

A top view. There is still grease on the feed ramp.

So, a 1945 No5 that looks like it was just taken out of the factory shipping crate.

From an internet auction, yet.

Lovely rifle!!!!!! It still amazes me that rifles turn up in this condition. I take it you will be shooting this fine specimen and not keep it as a closet queen. A friend has a No 4 T in pristine condition and it never sees the light of day. Not because he particularily wants to keep it in pristine condition, he just cant be assed to take it out

Ian

THINK I AM GOING TO STOP LOOKING.........

Well, Woftam, I published the price at Gunboards, so why not here?

$365US, shipped.

ian, Duncan, I will be test firing this and my POF No4 Mk2 this weekend, if all goes well.

I will put up the evidence here, if you like.

Sorry about depressing everyone...

Krinko,

Not a bad price, at least wasn't $25 + shipping or something ridiculous like that, thenm I'd be joining Duncan.

Duncan,

I'm looking at a Martini at the moment that's $AUD600 :( , I decided to pass on the $AUD950  one. There now, feel better :D
