Interesting photo, any idea of time / place Double D?
The reference to Maxim guns suggests early 1900s maybe?

The caption gives the clue '...designed and built in Cape Town...' also the 'Long' Lee rifles. Maxim guns were used by Australian forces up until the Viet Nam war, (although not afain in Vietnam) and even later by the Cadets.

Poses a very compact soft target though.
On another tack, don't let Virgin Rail see it or they will be making their trains run on 'Passenger Power'

"...On another tack, don't let Virgin Rail see it or they will be making their trains run on 'Passenger Power' ..."
On the other hand, the trains might then actually arrive.
"Virgin" always struck me as an inappropriate name for a transport company - Would you really choose to use a train (or worse, a 'plane) that doesn't go 'all the way'?
