Picked up this BSA Sweet 17 2-7x32 scope today at the same local sporting goods store that I bought the rifle from.
Got it for virtually the same price as online plus helped support a local dealer as a bonus.

I was planning on trying both the scope and rifle out this morning but the boys sat up until 0500 playing Halo III and wouldn't budge at 0730.

It's really a nice shooting rifle. Bob is going to shoot it this Saturday in the 200 yard rimfire match at RBGC. Last month there were 5 competitors in the .17 fun class with scores running from 539 2X all the way up to 578 15X. One of those shooters was 12.
The scope is too high to get a good cheek weld and it really needs to be moved about an inch forward. I am going to try some lower rings and a different mount.
This is the best 10 round group I could manage at 200 yards. Can you guess which direction that the wind was running?

The Remington Premier ammo loaded with Hornady 17gn V-Max bullets seems to be the most consistant of the 3 types we tried out this weekend. The little buggers are still zipping along at nearly 1400 fps when they pass over the pits at 200 yards.
