Trafalgar Meeting pics

Well, the Trafalgar Meeting has come and gone for another year. As previous years, I spent most of the time either shooting or ROing on the 200 yard firing point. The weather this year was nice and sunny both days, couldn't be better. I didn't get a really good close look at the trade show but did buy some .30-06 and 7.92mm ammo but no guns. I saw a Mk V Lee-Enfield on offer at £850 (1700 USD). I had a quick look at a L39 but had to go back to the range and it was gone when I got back. It was priced at £565 (1130 USD). One dealer had a few new No.4 Mk2 'new' rifles, one in the wrap, that he was selling for £550 (1100 USD). He sold three as I was standing there. There was a nice Rook rifle in .360 calibre with a good bore that was priced at £850 (1700 USD). I don't think that sold. There were quite a few other sporting and milsurp rifles for sale, non that I would call cheap.
I met Strangely Brown and Mr & Mrs Goblinslayer. I shot two details with Goblinslayer and I noticed he outscored me on both cards
I had a good time anyway and am looking forward to next year. A few pics of the activity at 200 yards.
A couple of details in action.
Black powder shooters in action.
There were some shooters with funny black rifles alongside the older stuff.
Mr Goblinslayer.
Mrs Goblinslayer.
Sniper types.
Rapid Martini.
There was the Single Shot Black Powder Shooters shooting for the smallest group.
A Persian Mauser Carbine. You could feel the muzzle blast through your feet. It made the earth move. I want one
Moisin M1938 and Lee-Enfield on Snaps.
A Rapid in progress.
No.4 in action. This had target sights fitted.
Sunday morning looked like this. It delayed the start by about an hour.
When the mist cleared, the Cannon fired.
The Cadets got a few rounds downrange later in the day on Sunday.
Strangely Brown turned up to shoot. It was nice to see him. This is my version of the picture he posted. He is the one in the hat.
We left Monday morming with a last look in Fultons. I bought some elbow pads.
A good week-end. Roll on next year.
Regards
Peter.
