Okay, I don't know much anything about this so I wanted to ask some experts.

Is it safe to fire modern 7mm ammo in an 1895 mauser? What about surplus ammo? is there a difference between ammo from Europe vs the U.S.?

What say you?

Hello there:

I have a M95 and shot it with both commerical [ US ], reloads and military surplus [ Spanish and German ] and had no problems.

As to US -vs- Euro ammo, ours { US } will be a lower pressure load, to keep the lawers at bay!!
