My new War Office Trainer with pics

I got a few pics taken of my new BSA War Office trainer. It is in very nice condition. The bore is bright and shiney. The chap I bought it from hardly ever used it. It came with 200 rounds of Eley Practice ammo. It must have just sat about for the last 90 odd years. I have only noticed one for sale before and that was ay Bisley last month that a dealer had for £165.

Anyway a few pics.

I didn't think it was a bad buy for £55.

Peter, Any sightings for a bolt for one of those Trainers? A while ago, I bought a box of scrap parts at the auction for a gun shop that was closing. In it was almost all of the parts for a BSA WO trainer but no bolt. I paid only $12.40 for the box, about 6 Brit pounds.

THAT LOOKS VERY FINE PETER.

I put 70 rounds through it tonight. As Dromia says, I find the sights a problem in the range lighting we have. However, it is a nice light rifle and a pleasure to shoot. It put most of the rounds in the box on the reduced 25 yard figure 11 target. It would put them all in if I could see the sights properly. I will try it outdoors at the next opportunity I get.

Tonsper, I have never seen a spare bolt for one of these rifles so unfortunately I can't help there..

Regards

Peter.
