Swedish CG 1917

Post by Clyde from Carolina » Fri Nov 23, 2007 6:05 pm

I have had this rifle for a few years but never got around to taking any pictures of it.

It is one of my favorites- just a beautiful rifle. All matching except for the cleaning rod. Don't suppose anybody has a 470 marked m/96 rod??

Wish the pictures were better. I never get tired of looking at this one. I really like the figure in the stock, and especially the handguard. Not spectacular, but nice.

I have an all matching CG1909 that looks just like that. They are nice aren't they. You need a 38 short rifle to keep it company.

Thanks Dave. I agree completely that a M38 would round things out nicely!

I found one at a show last year. It is a CG1`900 converted to a short rifle around 1938. It's probably my favorite shooter.
