At the Pheonix Gun Show last weekend I had the privledge of seeing and handling this Japanese copy of our M1 Garand. The basic difference in the Japanese copy with the original is instead of and 8 round encloc clip the Japanese Used a box magazine that is loaded with two 5 round stripper clips. Also the rear sight is of the ladder disign with the slide gut there is adjustment for windage. This was a like new rifle. To say I desire it is a serious understatement. riceone.

Riceone, what is this rifle worth do you think? I would imagine there are very few to collect.

Multi thousand dollar rifle

I understand that these rifles are worth many thousands of dollars. There are very few in existance so there is keen competition between (rich) collectors to own one.

Regards

Peter.

He told me he had taken it apart in two peices but not stripped it down. I would be afraid to go further too. That is expensive history and should be carefully preserved. roy

Thanks Riceone for posting the pics, I have never seen one of those rifles, and am never likely to.
