I just got thinking about when I fired this bit of kit down at Lydd and put in a search on YouTube.

My only experience with that bit of kit was some thirty-mumble years ago as an Army Cadet - we got to fire one with a .22" rifle conversion - on an indoor range at the Mercian Depot (IIRC), firing at footage of vehicles on a cinema screen.

It hardly counts, but I thought it worth a mention (if only for the 'real' users to laugh at).

Thing I remember most was that on the range we fired on the actual firing points were dug into a low bank. My No:2 (loader) said that after I fired it the back blast caused a vacuum in the firing point and after his helmet bounced off his head and his balls got stuck in his ears he did think that his blocked nose had been cleared for life

After that we went to Tin City and had some good time with .22 tracer ammo :D
