1942 Luger

I got to view this 42 byf Luger after it turned up at our local dealer.
Unfortunately it can not go on Section 7-3, so what will happen to it i dont know.
It is probably one of the last Lugers produced at Oberndorf as production ceased there in late 1942.

Surely by virtue of the rarity now here and the fact that it was possibly the last produced at that factory gives it the intrisic value that meets the requirements of section 7. Pity for it to be locked away but another HBSA member was successful in getting section 7 applied to 1970's production revolvers on the same principle these examples were the last produced and the only ones imported of that model. I'll see if I can speak to him at the next meeting and get some help if you are keen?

I know what you are saying 151, some of our Northern members have post 1919 arms too that have been accepted on the intrinsic value, but for the moment i will stick with my Webley. Besides, i have heard a little whisper of a 1917 Luger that may be coming up for sale!

The money tree is looking a bit bare at the moment. I will have to wait for some new growth after this expensive month before I go after anything else. The gunrunners are still showing the M94 Swede on their website. I almost put another 6.5 on the variation but you have to stop somewhere. I will probably regret that later;

Thats a nice looking P08 Pittbull, take good care of it. The one in my picture has now been deactivated
