Hi All, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic but if not I'm sure it can be moved.

I was browsing the announcements the other evening and came across a post from April '07 regarding contributions towards upkeep of the site. I think it was Niner who was saying the funds were fine for another year.

Wellllll! If that was April last year, I was thinking with April just round the corner there might be a need for me to lifting the linoleum and removing some of these old "Bed sheet Fivers!" I have safely hidden underneath it.

I would be only too happy to contribute to this forum, I have had my moneys worth after only a few months of being welcomed here.

How do I go about it??

All the best, John

Thats why we Yorkshiremen don't like £1 coins, they make the bed lumpy

Thanks for the thought John

The cost isn't a problem to me as much as the server that the site is on now which is experiencing big problems. It's not like I'm rich, it's just that the actual server cost is about like one cheap milsurp a year and my son, the computer science graduate, does the webmastering for free as he finds time with his various business ventures including making websites for people.

I have recently rented space on a different server that will actually be less expensive than the space the site is in now. All of this should be moved, with all past posts kept, in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for offering to contribute. I appreciate it. Maybe I'll get a sponsor or two and turn it into a money making thing one day.

Anybody want a website made for them? Hit that eggplant at the very bottom right corner of the home screen. That will take you to my son's sideline. Have no idea what he would charge you.

Please tell me it's NOT the appalling yuku !

That site is about as useful as haemorrhoids and more of a pain in the fundiment!

Tom....don't even think such a thing..

Been there and done that already.

Everything should look exactly the same as it does now when the site moves. The site content here is mine to control and can be backed up and saved in every particular and is not some formula message board service with all their expensive, quirky, money grubbing ways. When my site moves you won't be able to tell the difference other than it will work better... at least that's the way it should go.
