I took a few quick pics of my Type 44 Arisaka. This is the first variation made at the Koishikawa arsenal Tokyo sometime in the early/mid 1920s as a best guess.

This is quite an accurate little rifle. I shot a 48 with it at 200 yards the Trafalgar meeting a couple of years ago.
