Readinging that reminded me of old Burt Lancaster movie,"The Gypsy Moths" (a winged suit was a plot device) and TV show "Ripcord" that got me interested in skydiving as a kid.

What next?

My youngest daughter throws herself out of perfectly serviceable aircraft and sends me photos of herself and friends holding hands as they plummet Earthwards with insane grins on their faces.

I can imagine what it'll be like if she gets one of these. :roll:

Plane is a Beech D-18 (sorta a War Bird),'chute was a shortlined Para-Commander,my first high performance before I got a square.

At least out West you didn't have many trees that you could run into when landing.

On second thought....any cactus in that drop zone?

Nope,no cactus.Nice DZ.Is at the Spearfish/Black Hills Regional Airport.

Same place my Dad took pictures at in the '30s.
