Ok,, forgive me,, but I have sinned and grown old and need a bit of help sometimes. The No1Mk3 rear sights are ,,uhh,, rather hard to see at times...and since this was my trunk rifle,, carried everywhere I had a choice of firing blindly or making a change.

I made a change....

I removed the rear sight elevator and fashioned a scope base to fit the sight mount,,added a 30mm red dot and now have a nice clear fov and a much more old guy's old eye friendly sight.

Great

So have you shot any trunks with it?

Sorry

Couldn't resist the urge to say that.

Seriously, I can feel your pain. I have like problems. If it works I'm in favor of it.

Does it work suitably?

If so it looks like you did nothing permanent to alter the weapon so what the heck?

Enjoy!

So does it work ?

Not being as chronologically gifted  as some on the forum I don't have the need yet. But I can see the day coming.

If its a swap-in/ swap-out option and works I'd give it a go. In a couple of decades that is  . Well maybe a couple of years

"Does it work?"

Well.. my back is really screwed right now so a range trip is not viable, but a quick shot off hand at the steel spinner was answered by a satisfying ring and a twirl of the metal.

Nothing was removed that can't go back.
