I bought an alaged 'Model 44' Mauser, which turned out to be a M48 Pred44. It has an inporters mark from Georga, Vt, but I can't read the inporter... do you know who it is?

The stock has the S# in black pen writen over the number engraved in the wood. When I take the cosmo off, should I leave the penned in numbers?

The m48 is 1/2 in. shorter than my CZ vz24, is that the difference in the intermeadent action?

Thanx Dante'

Century started in St. Albans VT, later in Georgia. Still licensed there but I think most of their marketing is done out of Florida.

Their warehouse is in Vermont. US sales office- Florida. All guns shipped from Vermont-at least all the ones shipped to me.
