I recently attended a gunshow while helping a local FFL with setup & sales. I got a free weekend pass & bypassed all the damn security.

I kept telling myself that I was there only to buy some ammo & magazines.

Here is what I took home with me;

Four M91 rifles.

First up is a Finn model M24/91 made for the Civil Guard. It wears an unmarked receiver(NEW?) mated to a Bohler-Stahl stepped barrel. Barrel is not counter bored, is very tight with strong, shiny lands & lightly pitted bore. It wears a wartime "Z" stock with the rounded finger joint splice.

The whole rig looks new! :D

Who knows what that squiggly buttstock cartouche is?

Next in line is a 1917 Remington in a Finn wartime stock with the finger joint splice. Stock has been sanded & varnished.

This one has a nice bright shiny bore that has been counter bored.

This rig also looks new.

Third is a 1922 Tula wearing an original Russian M91 stock. The only evidence of Finn ownership is the "SA" stamp, counter bore, & sling swivels.

It has a nice shiny bore.

Again, who knows what the little boxed "CAR" means?

The last one is a homely little one that came here from Bulgaria. The "Peter The Great" crest has been ground away, but the bore, while showing much use, is not counter bored & is still serviceable.

The stock is rather thin & abused, but sports three separate " pine cones "!

I only wanted two of them, but they were priced too high.

Seller wanted $450 for the CG, $350 for the Remington,$300. for the 1922 Tula, & $250.00 for the 1916 Tula.

By buying the entire lot, I came away paying just under 1G. :oops:
