As some of you might know as well as Enfields I have a small representative collection of Swedish Mausers, to fill out this small group of arms I asked the Gun Runners to try and source me a CG 63 Competition Rifle and a M38.
Today the lads came up trumphs with my latest acquisition a CG 63 Competition rifle.
As you will see from the photographs below it is good condition with some wear on the wood, the metal is excellent with almost all the blueing and the bore looking mint at the throat.
This one will be worth chamber checking for good cartridge overall length.
The interesting thing from my point of view at least is that it is built on a Husqvarna reciever, M/96, unlike the usual CG M/96 and M/94 recievers.
The bolt and receiver match at least haven't checked the rest.
The rifle is also fitted with a Norwegian Busk aperture rear sight produced in the late 1970s.
I'll be trialling this beauty at the weekend, so time to get the brass out and make some loads for her.
