Went to Harbor Freight a day or so ago and picked up a powder coating outfit

Bought me a used toaster oven at the thrift store to cook parts after coating. Looks to be about a million different colors to choose from.

Anybody ever do this powder coating stuff before

Here's the outfit

I've never tried powder coating, how does it work?

It looks from the photo and your description as if the item is charged with static, sprayed with powdered polymer at the whole issue baked.

Is the orange thing a probe or some kind of spray-gun?

What size objects can you coat and how thick a coating when fired?

yep orange thing is a spray gun

as far as I can tell

powder is given a positive charge when sprayed. part is negative powder sticks to part then it is baked

You can coat anything that will withstand 400 degrees Fahrenheit. and you can do anything you have an oven big enough to bake it in.
