How to store the collection

When I started my collection, I used gunsafes, but they got too small very quickly and I got SICK digging in them to find a certain gun.

Than the opportunity arose, to built a gunroom in our old barn.

After some month of hard work I can now present my small collection to the community. The walls, ceiling and floor are steel reinforced concrete, certified steel door with mechanical number lock. Dehumidifier and time controlled fan are installed.

Here are the longguns:

And also some shorter shootingirons are there:

There ist still a lot of work to do, decoration and finding a way to display the bayos and holsters.

Like that double decker wall rack. Well done professional look to how it is finished out with what looks to be felt inserts for padding. Steel door with lock and steel reenforced cement walls are as good as a safe. Well done. Dehumidier is the finial touch to a good plan.

That glass pistol case is a great display too.

Thanks for showing your project.

Chris......I'm impressed.

That is one heck of a gun room.

It looks fantastic already, even though you write that it is not finished yet.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

I am mworking on filling the empty places already, but there are no too many intesting guns for small money out there anymore

If somebody of the finnish members can point me to a not too expensive Winchester M95 in 8,3x53R or even 9.3x53R, this would be a good addition. Saw some at Tampere show this winter, maybe there will be still some next year.

Oridinal ones are too expensive, and most of tehm have worn/rusted bores so a converted hunting version is beeet for shooter like me.
