Since I got a Colt 1911A1 I fell in love with that big pill and got some more guns in .45" calibers

I have a Star B that I really like to shoot. Suprisingly the B is Bob & AJ's favorite big bore handgun to shoot

This is my only .45, it doesn't have those clasic lines that yours does but it does get the job done.

Sooner or later I will run across a deal on a 1911 type handgun. In the mean time we are seriously looking ay several .45 acp wheel guns.

The Spanish have such a history of producing fine handguns, it's really a shame that I read that the Spanish Army is no longer using a Spanish designed and produced handgun.

Why, that would be as if the US forces abandoned their work horse pistol of the past 80 years by unserimonously dumped it in favor of some wusssified small bore excuse for a handgun with no beavertail and no grip safety.

Yes, a .45ACP wheelgun is als nice, got me a 1937 S&W Brazil some time back, VERY good shooter!!!!!!!!!

9mm is not bad, if used in the right pistol, like a Glock, but .45 is even better

We Germans started out with 9mm, but there were no real good pistols made around it, Luger is too fragile and P38 a piece of junk.

Radom or FN35 are better

One thing that always has been a question with me is why the knock offs of the 1911 Colt never have the grip safety unless directly licensed from Colt.

I have a .45 cal Ballister Molina that looks like your Star B. No grip safety, but my Argentine Mod 1927 made under license from Colt has the grip safety.

Hm, the grip "safety" just blocks the trigger, not very safe.

And it takes some more maschining to make all the parts.

One manual safety is enough.

In that direction could have gone tht thoughts of the spanish construction engenners. Or maybe it was a demand from miitary contracts to have the grip safety dropped and it was carried over to commercial production too????

There were Star pistols with grip safety, but only the early ones(Model 1921).

I do believe that Star or its sister companies produced pistols for the British And French under contract during WW1. There was a study done of the steel used in examples held in UK collections to see if the rumours about rushed contract quality were true.
