Snider Mk 111, they were manufactured Sniders not converted Enfiled Rifles.

The mark 111 numerals are on the shoe and the barrel looks original being designated "steel" the Enfield rifle barrels were iron. Is it a long or short rifle, three or two bands?

If it is smoothbore then it has been reamed out at some point, however from its condition if it was cleaned there may be some rifling in the barrel, what does the barrel look like? The rifling on these weapons is quiet shallow to avoid fouling build up.

Looks like standard broad arrow and military markings but I haven't looked them up yet.

.577 shot cartridges were made for the Snider.

It is a 3 band

I had a good look at the bore and it appears as smooth as the proverbial baby's dumb!

Any idea of a value?

To me it looks a bit rough but could clean up, it was probably reamed out to fit in with the French gun laws, something about military calibre rifles at one point. But who really knows who, when or why it was done.

For all I know it could be some extremely rare smoothbore version but from what I know it was carbines that were smoothbored mainly for police, convict civil guard and gaol use

From the pictures I'd offer £150-£200 maximum, you'll get a nice rifled M111 in BP shootable condition for £550.
