These photos are from 'Guns Australia' magazine for Oct/Dec 2003 a very good Australian magazine which attracts top writers in their fields (usual disclaimer).

very interesting.

It's a Lithgow? WWII vintage? All SMLE's are attractive, but there's something about Coachwood and the slightly greenish metal that appeals to me.

Of course it could just be the photo, or i could have my wife's glasses on.

It probably is a WW II Lithgow, certainly looks like one.

We repaired a few of them over the years in the Armoury at Morebank and made some replacement bits. Should have made a couple for myself. :idea:
