Here is an autoloading version of a model of 1903.

It belongs to owner of Guns & Ammo...the store in Moss Point.

I think it had Pederson stamped in the back cover. This doesn't look like the famous Pederson device that was mostly destroyed on government orders. It may be another attempt from the same inventer. It could be a prototype experiment that was only a one off or short run.

Although I did not ask, I would assume it to be 30.06 Government.

that is not a pederson device , it was composed of a replacement bolt system and magazines that fed it with a slot cut in the left reciever , these were a 30 caliber pistol round much like the M1carbine
