It made perfect sense to me.

In my collection is a nice No1 MkIII*, LIthgow made in 1919 and stocked in Queensland Maple. For years I've had a fixation
to get a 1919 Lithgow bayonet with QM grips to go with it. Best I've been able to do to date was a 1919 Lithgow but with walnut grips
. Finally found one, but money is a bit tight with the wedding only six weeks away.
So after groveling to the wife and promising to sell the original bayonet to cover some of the cost I now have an (almost) matching set.
New bayonet is A prefixed, as is the rifle, but about 13,000 units lower.
Now the feral princess has claimed possession of my NSW marked Cadet on a resides with me basis until she gets her licence. She has also always wanted one of my bayonets. So I sold her the old bayonet (for $1) on a resides with me basis.
Apparently, although all conditions have been met, that is not in the spirit of the agreement according to the wife.
Oh well, its the doghouse for me again.
