M1 Garand for $800

This ad came out this week in the Big-5 Sporting Goods store flyer. Any opinions??

No condition statement so guess it is one of recent beater imports. Really amazing how M1's have gone up in value. And it doesn't help that the CMP is mostly out of inventory.
I'd go to a gun show and see what's being offered or go to the CMP and take a number for the 180 day out $595 Service grade rifles. They at least won't be beaters and in decent condition.
Really am glad I got one of the Danish lend returns from the CMP for $400 back in January of 2002
