Not exactly a purist rifle.
Whatever... it looks pristine at least. How well does it feed those short 7.62x39 rounds? I read some place they tend to not want to load from the magazine into the chamber smoothly.
If mechanically it functions ok, I bet it is fun to shoot and certainly easy on the recoil.
What's with the coats? It's August and 90 degrees where I am.

Surprised that the muzzle isn't catching on the targets

Robert, i fired that rifle a couple of times in the last two weeks with no feeding problems, although i did notice Dave have one or two miss-feeds on Saturday, so who knows???
The weather had been a bit cool on the morning but it got really warm (68 F) after lunch time.

The rifle shoots OK but yes you are right it dosnt feed smoothly from the magazine.
It works better if you only put five rounds in the mag but if you charge ten rounds the first few can be a problem if you try to cycle the action quickly.
I dont know how bad it is or isnt yet I have only had two sessions on the range with it.
I think its the magazine thats the problem I am wondering if the mag from a ruger mini 30 would fit.
Its not a massive problem I can live with it but its early days yet we will see.Its definatelly not a rapid fire gun.
I will keep you informed. Im looking to shoot some lead loads in .I have been sounding Adam out on suitable bulits etc.

Dave, maybe it's that rim and no rim thing going on in what is to start with an Enfield action. Or maybe the diameter of the case has something to do with it. What does the bolt face look like? What does the extractor look like? How is the magazine modified?

Ill post pictures when I get it home waiting for the plod to OK the transfer.
You have got me thinking now about the action thing maybe I should of done more research before purchasing.
Not to worry if it dosnt work it will be a cheap gun for somebody.
Any way its early days yet.
