No, I do not own his personal rifle from the battle of Kollaa, nobody does, as the rifle was left there and is probably rotted away.
But I was able to get one of the real early m/28-30s, like the one he used to make his sniper record.
I traded a 1945 Swiss K31 for it, that never did anything special.

Great find Chris.......and a very good trade too.
Congratulations.
I guess this rifle will soon make a trip to the range.
If so....let us know how it performed.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

Thanks!
I fear, there will be no range time very sone, maybe next year.
I shot the rifle, while it belonged to my buddy, on par with swedish Mausers, we shot the same day :-)

Simo Häyhä’s rifle is in North Karelia Brigade (PKARPR) in Kontioranta East Finland. It is in brigade’s memory room as deactivated.

Edited: May be a price rifle m/28. As the m/28-30 was left on field. Sory, fals alarm!
