OK, I lied about taking pictures with a better camera---we'll have to make do with these.

Here's the overview---really nice blue on this one...

The receiver flat...

The buttstock is walnut and it has a steel LB buttplate, but it also has the stamped swivel and I'm not sure LB made those. Wood isn't marked.

Here's the restored bit and the original bit side by side---one of these was stripped with oven cleaner. See if you can tell which one.

All in all, a very hard to find date in outstanding condition. Now that it's properly bedded I'll take her out for a test drive---if it every quits raining.

Nice one Krinko.

I figure that the wood on the left got the Oven Cleaner treatment. Now that convinces me to never use it.

Also, thanks for holding onto the rain out there. I got some shooting in this weekend without getting drenched.

Nice pictures Krinko, doesn't look like you need a better camera.

Oh.... why is it that everytime I see Longbranch I bring to mind a middle aged babe with died hair who works in a saloon and her name is Miss Kitty?

Niner,

The answer to your question is because you are an senior middle-ager who watched too much Gunsmoke in your younger days.
