OK, I lied about taking pictures with a better camera---we'll have to make do with these.

The receiver flat...

The buttstock is walnut and it has a steel LB buttplate, but it also has the stamped swivel and I'm not sure LB made those. Wood isn't marked.

Here's the restored bit and the original bit side by side---one of these was stripped with oven cleaner. See if you can tell which one.

All in all, a very hard to find date in outstanding condition. Now that it's properly bedded I'll take her out for a test drive---if it every quits raining.
