While out and about Friday, I stopped in at my local pawn shop they had two more guns on the rack then they did the day before, but nothing to talk about.
Then my friend that runs the shop asked me if I had a rear sight for a M1 Carbine. I told him yes and he asked me what I wanted for it. I asked what he was going to put it on and he said a GI M1. He said that the sight had been removed to mount a scope. He then went to the back and got the carbine. I was happy to see that someone had mounted a SK no smithing mount on the gun.
I took a good look at it and asked what he wanted. Then I told him I would give him $300. He counter offered and I asked if that was the out the door price. He said that he would have to add the tax. It was still a great deal, under $400, so I took it.

Here are the pic's

I have been wanting a M1 Carbine for some time now and I an very happy with this one.
As soon as I am feeling better I will clean the rust off the metal and do an Oil Cleaning on the stock to remove the dirt.
Oh! there are no import marks on it.

Outstanding! :D
Those Postal Meters sure do shoot well.
Glad to see it has a good stock.
I think I have taken all the good carbine stocks you had.
Hope you get to feeling better.
Perhaps a carbine shoot in the near future?

Very nice rifle!! The 63 on the stock makes me wonder if it was a rebuild date on it's way to a tour in Nam.

I sent off an order for a rack grade Inland from CMP last week. I'm hoping it comes with a flat bolt like yours, I really like the way they look.

Our gun club has a CMP carbine match in the fall and I'd like to have my own to shoot this year since Bob has laid claim to our '43 Inland.
