Nifty Aussie peep sight

G'day all, recently saved a 1942 Lithgow from the police furnace for a bargain price and it had this on it, which I later verified was a Lithgow made Argyle sight base with military "broad arrow" stamps on it (these sights were used by military big bore range teams and were mounted on SMLE .303s specially fitted with Aussie made heavy barrels).

Being an avid collector of Aussie militaria, I just had to complete the package and just had this little baby - an Australian made fold down MUES peep sight - arrive in the mail:

Although the bits look "rustic" they are basically sound apart from a few burred screw heads, and should clean up nicely.
As for the rifle, well I'm going to do it up as a range workhorse, and since it has already been monkeyed with, I can do all those evil things to it (sanding and re-finishing the timber) you wouldn't dream of doing to an original collectable.
It's already had a new Lithgow made heavy target barrel screwed into it and the action bedded ... watch this space.
