some years ago and am just getting around to finishing, been using it too much.

In it's more or less finished form.

as it started out

a la No4 with well hung trigger

Cleaned up a bit and the trigger fitted

on the range with some other 'junk'.

The rere sight is the top of a spacer that I fitted to take up the excessive overturn of the body on the barrel, the forend is filled with 2 part Epoxy where I dug out the dry rot and the handguard is made from a coachwood chair arm, Barrel is shortened because of muzzle wear and general battering and because I wanted a carbine. The nose cap is off a P14. Blackening of the body was flat black from a spray can and has survived some 6 years of intermittent use.

It is now about to be finished (roughly).

Here's another pic

Well it's not pretty Eoin but if you enjoy it then that's good enough. Suppose the handguard brings a whole new meaning to the word 'furniture'

It's kind of grown on me and has become a favorite scrub rifle as it's very handy in thick bush and I'm not afraid of scratching it.
I thought of spraying the stock camoflage but the local paint store tells me that they're out of it at the moment!
