Karl,

My uncle was a crew member on a B24 from 376th BG, 512 sq.
I don't know if he flew the mission to the Ploesti Oil Fields.
In fact...I know very little of him.

I found out he was involved in a midair collision with another B24 from 512 sq on August 24th 1944.
Both planes crashed in the Knin area in Yugoslavia.
I'm very proud of what he did.
He could have stayed at home, but he decided to go to the US and become a crew member on a B-24 after the Germans invaded his country on April 6th 1941 .
I'm sure it was his wish to return and fight the Germans to free his country.
I'm very sorry he didn't live to see that happen, but at least he did something.
Thanks for starting this post and finding the footage on YouTube Karl.
