The latest thing. Seems that Miller Lite has a Vortex bottle. Strange new marketing tool or great idea?

Does this put a spin on the beer so you can hit the glass more accurately? Is the beer more accurate at a longer range?
Have they gone from a smooth bore bottle to a rifled bottle?
I guess I just don't get it.
Vern.

Besides just being a wild shot in the dark marketing tool, I think the idea of the spin is to make the beer more likely to create a foamy head if you pour it into a glass. If you drink straight out of the bottle I don't see any benefit.....unless you are some college kid showing off how many beers you can chug and the twist might make it go down a little faster.......well maybe it would.

This one's pretty easy - if you cannot highlight the beer's quality, you just have to find other sales arguments...

This is from the same gigantic company that combined SAB Miller, Coors and Molson into one big bunch of beer labels from North America and then imported some other brands from all over the rest of the world to add to their lineup.
This isn't their only gimick. How about the label on the Coors bottles that have the mountain images that turn blue when the bottle gets cold enough to......make you imagine it was made from mountain spring water?
Actually I like Miller Lite and don't think there is anything wrong with its quality. Now Coors Light does taste exactly like bottled water instead of beer. My wife likes it......but she isn't much of a beer drinker.
