smoke grenades

We used a lot of smoke in Nom, from marking LZ's for Hughies and other things. We also carried 'pop flairs' for night illumanition and marking night locations.

Do people collect smoke or flares etc?

I had a friend that collected CS teargas powder. I was used in Nom to line enemy tunnels... if the VC disturbed the powder it would make the tunnels uninhabitable.
Mark sent home 35mm film contanniers (in 68 they were the screw-in type), filled with the 'stuff'... I'd hate to be one of his neighbors who p**sed him off!

brought home a white smoke one time pop that thing on the 4th of july a few years back no wind equaled one smoked up nieghborhood.
