Facing the facts

The office fax machine is rather noisy and no one likes to work near it especially not right in front of it, one of the staff got really upset when it was shifted in front of him. Didn't do any good however as the Boss told him that he had to face the fax.

Sgt Joe Friday is giving a class to a local Neighborhood Watch group on how to notify the police if there is a problem, and a woman asks if the police read all the text messages that they must get.
Sgt Friday replies, "Just the FAX ma'am, just the FAX."
Yeah, yeah, I hear ya.
