Any sources/info for 303 ammo?

I am pretty new to enfields, I really don't want to get into reloading. Any suggestions on finding ammo? I know to stay away from the POF stuff. Anything else out there affordable and reliable. I have had good luck with some South African Surplus, but I can't find anymore. I also know that Wolf is supposed to be making some soon, but I don't know when or what it will cost...or whop will be carrying it.

Thanks for any help. :?

Hi William,

welcome to the forum and thanks for the post.

I'm in the UK so can't really help you with US milsurp ammo sources, however Prvi Partizan new manufacture ammo from Yugoslavia, or whatever they call the place now, is available in the US.

Its availble here for £28/100, $15/100 to you methinks. We can't reload for that here and its not half bad ammo, boxer primed, out to 500 yrds I think it gives HXP a run for its money. :D

Sounds like a good price. I heard of them on another forum, I think that person was from Australia. I can't seem to find a dealer in the US. I did find their website and there products looked good. The price you gave sounds good too. I did send an email to a company listed as a dealer.

So far I like the enfields but I've been spoiled on dirt cheap prices for 8mm and 7.62x54. In fact it is alittle hard to find 303 at all here.

Info on ammo can be had here. http://www.303british.com/

Have a look here for 180 gr FMJ ammo. Cabela's has it too.

28 pounds becomes $48.70US, not $15US.

I want some milsurp .303 too

Looks like it is about dried up.

Sunray, looks like the Cheaper Than Dirt ammo is out of stock..... unless I am reading this wrong.

I mostly shoot my own reloads in my LE pattern rifles

I bought several hundred rounds of Hot Shot when Century had it a year or so ago. This has left me pretty well supplied with brass that I use to make fairly mild 150 gn loads.

There is, however, nothing that gives me a rush like getting belly down with my #5 and shooting the real stuff. The real stuff I have is some '49 & '50 vintage Radway Green Mk7 ball.

It's great for about 10 rounds. In a prone position it kicks me like a rented mule. I'm basicly a masochist at heart, thats why I been married 5 times.
