Air Show............sort of.

Have had all kinds of planes flying over my house this week-end. Found out it is Heritage Conference practise at the Air Force Base nearby. Heritage Conference is a program sponsored by the USAF to have all types of military aircraft fly together at air shows around the country. Aircraft from WWII to current practise close formation flying this week-end for all the upcoming shows this spring and summer.
Very cool to watch a P-51 Mustang, F-4 Phantom, and a F-22 Raptor flying close formation, also flew this week-end, P-38 Lightning, P-40 Warhawk, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and A-10 Thunderbolt II.
I see A-10s and F-16s all the time, so it was a treat to see the others, especially the F-22.
Seeing a F-4 next to a P-51 makes you realize how really BIG and F-4 is. And it can't be easy for the prop-jobs and the jets to fly so close, the jets must be running half-flaps.
They come here to practise, but there is no air show in Tucson this year, go figure.
Here are some bad photos from my back yard today, sorry.

Vern.
