The Schmidt Rubin charger/stripper clip is a cardboard and tin device which holds 6 rounds of 7.5 ammunition, and were probably designed as a use once and throw away item.

There was also a charger for drill purposes, in red cardboard, the drill round was engraved with 3 knurled rings for easy identification.

The current "Swiss shooter" trick is to lightly spray them with a poly-spar varnish type product. This will make the carboard last. They will last as is with the gentle touch all us collectors have with our kit. At least me
I look for the dealers of ammo who give some out with your purchase.
I have a Swiss bandoleer ready with a full set loaded for....
well you know...in case the Martians or Chinese paras land on my roof. Other wise, I load by hand at the range.

finally won 4 on ebay got them in the mail today tried one out in the rifle very handy but I see how they could easly become messed up with improper handling, the rounds I used in them where the .284 win. rounds that I had resized to 7.5x55 swiss these are pretty neat chargers and different than any stripper clip i have.
