Two guys are sitting around talking about politics.

One of them asks the other, "So why are you a Democrat?"

"Because my daddy and granddaddy were Democrats," was the man's reply.

"What if your daddy and granddaddy were horse thieves?"

"In that case, I guess I'd be a Republican."

Actually, you would still be a Democrat, and you would make the government pay for new shoes on the horse AND a new saddle.

Didn't like that Republican joke? How about this one?

Many of you will recall that on July 8, 1947, several reliable witnesses claimed that an unidentified flying object, with five aliens aboard, crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside of Roswell, New Mexico. If you do not know about this, look it up on Google.

This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and the federal government.

However, what you may not know, is that during the month of March, 1948, exactly nine months after that historic day, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Condoleezza Rice, Karl Rove and Dan Quayle were all born.

This is apparently what happens when aliens breed with sheep.

Uh-Oh. None of THEM were born in 1948, but I was born in Jan. 1948 (2 months early).

I had always heard that Indians having sex with buffalo is how you got Texans.
The first time I heard it was from a Drill Sgt in basic training.

Drill Sgts would ask where you were from, and no matter where you said, their reply was, "The only thing that comes from
(fill in your home state) is steers and queers, and I don't see no horns on you."

It's only a joke, Vern. I don't know when any of THEM were actually born any more than I know what the gestation period of a sheep is ....or would that be the gestation period of the aliens from outer space? ..... even though the joke states nine months later for all concerned? Or maybe there was some give and take on both sides for which species is the mother which could cause the gestation period to differ. Wonder if Donald Trump has an opinion?



When you got back from Vietnam did you ever want to go back and find that drill sgt and tell him what a prick you thought he was? My guess is that after Vietnam it only seemed amusing to think back on......and wonder if the drill sgt was maybe the offspring of Lyndon Johnson, a Texan, and an alien who lived in Roswell once.

I was joking about THEM, too.

Never thought about finding any Drill Sgts, they were mean and tough on us, but they weren't really assholes.
The only one I ever wanted to find was the 1st Sgt from 1/11th Arty from Nam, name was Erlich and I swore if I ever saw
him again that it would get ugly and one of us would get hurt. Probably just as well that it never happened.
