You kind of missed the point, but anyway..............
Diesel stinks.................. except my cousin's son drives a diesel Rabbit that runs on used cooking oil that he gets from Mcdonalds,
his exhaust smells (and I have actually smelled it) like french fries.
He has obviously done some modifications to it, but it runs quite well.
And it's the only car that makes me hungry when I stand behind it.

Yeah, the exhaust from a cooking oil fueled vehicle does smell like fried food. You would be surprised how little you need to change to run it. You do need a good filtration system to clean it up before you put it in your vehicle's fuel tank. Here in the southern US, 20% regular diesel will keep it from gelling unless it gets unusually cold. Further north, you need to bump the % up or put in a heater.
